Question 390 of 433
Is vaping safe? What about cannabis?

The short answer
Vaping is less harmful than cigarettes and far from harmless. Daily cannabis use is linked to more heart attacks and strokes.
Nicotine in any form raises heart rate and blood pressure, and long-term vaping data do not exist yet. For cannabis, a study of more than 430,000 American adults found that daily users had about 25 percent higher odds of heart attack and 42 percent higher odds of stroke, including among people who had never smoked tobacco. Edibles avoid the smoke but not the effects on heart rhythm and blood pressure. “Legal” and “natural” are not safety claims.
