Question 338 of 433
Salt rooms, colonics, and “detox” foot baths?

The short answer
No, no, and no.
Sitting in a room with salt in the air has no good evidence for lung health and can provoke asthma. Colon cleansing does not remove “toxins” and has caused cramping, dehydration, infection, and, rarely, a torn bowel. The water in an ionic foot bath turns brown from corrosion of its own metal electrodes; it does so with or without a foot in it.
Your liver and kidneys detoxify you around the clock at no charge. Take care of them.
