Question 311 of 433
Float tanks, lymphatic massage, and vagus nerve gadgets?

The short answer
Relaxing, mostly harmless, and not longevity treatments.
Float tanks reduce anxiety for a few hours in small studies.
Lymphatic drainage massage is a real treatment for lymphedema. It does not “detox” healthy people.
Consumer vagus nerve stimulators worn on the ear or neck have small, inconsistent studies. Slow breathing stimulates the same nerve.
If one of these helps you rest, that has value. Rest is on the foundation list. Just know what you are buying.
