Question 308 of 433
Are cooling mattresses and sleep gadgets worth it?

The short answer
A cool bedroom helps sleep, and a cooling pad is one way to get it. The specific claims come mostly from the companies’ own small studies.
Lowering the thermostat to the mid-60s, a fan, and lighter bedding do much of the same work. Blue-light-blocking glasses showed no meaningful benefit for eye strain or sleep in an independent review. Sleep trackers are covered in Part 4.
