Question 133 of 433
You say alcohol is not healthy. Why do Blue Zones drink wine?

The short answer
The wine is probably not the active ingredient. The table is.
In Sardinia and Ikaria, a glass of wine is a daily appointment with friends, taken with food, at the end of a day of physical work. The Adventists of Loma Linda, the best-documented group, do not drink at all, and they do at least as well. I would keep the gathering and treat the wine as optional.
