Question 404 of 433
How long before I see results?

The short answer
Some changes come within days, most within three months, and the ones that matter most are counted in years.
Blood pressure responds to exercise and less salt within two weeks. Blood sugar improves within days of walking after meals. LDL cholesterol on medication falls in four to six weeks. Strength rises noticeably in six to eight weeks. Fitness improves over three months. Bone takes a year or more.
The benefit you cannot see, the heart attack that does not happen at 68, is the largest of all. Prevention is the practice of being rewarded with nothing happening.
