Question 208 of 433
What can testosterone realistically do?

The short answer
Improve sexual desire and function moderately, raise mood and energy a little, increase muscle and bone density, and correct anemia. It will not make you young.
In a group of federally funded studies called the Testosterone Trials, older men with low levels had a clear improvement in sexual function, a small improvement in mood and walking distance, and no improvement in memory. Men who expect a transformation are usually disappointed. Men who had a genuine deficiency are usually grateful.
