Question 142 of 433
Can a thin person be insulin resistant?

The short answer
Yes. Doctors sometimes call it “thin outside, fat inside.”
A person with slim arms and legs, a soft middle, and little muscle can have a fatty liver and high insulin with a normal weight. If diabetes runs in your family, or your triglycerides are high and your HDL is low, get tested whatever the scale says.
