Question 381 of 433
What does a high-quality longevity evaluation include?

The short answer
A long conversation, a thorough exam, the right blood work, fitness and strength testing, age-appropriate screening, and a written plan with follow-up.
A detailed personal and family history.
Blood pressure measured properly, and at home.
The blood panel from Part 4, with ApoB, Lp(a), and hs-CRP only when it could clarify a cardiovascular risk decision.
Body composition and bone density when appropriate.
A fitness measure and the simple strength and balance tests.
A calcium score if it would change treatment.
Cancer screening and vaccines brought up to date.
Sleep, mood, alcohol, and hearing assessed honestly.
A plan that starts with behavior and adds medicine only where there is evidence.
If the evaluation ends with a shopping bag of the clinic’s own supplements, ask whether each item has an indication, what alternatives exist, and how the clinician profits.
