Question 373 of 433
What about recovery studios and social wellness clubs?

The short answer
Think of them as gyms for relaxing. Sauna, cold plunges, compression, and company. Harmless for most healthy people, and the social part may be the most valuable thing they sell.
The largest chain has more than 200 studios. Newer “social wellness clubs” and bathhouses in big cities charge by the visit or several hundred dollars a month. I have no quarrel with a sauna shared with friends. That is roughly what the Finns have been doing for centuries. Just notice when the same business begins offering IVs, injections, and pressure chambers, because at that point it has become a medical clinic without the oversight.
