Question 154 of 433
What if I do not lose weight on a GLP-1?

The short answer
You are not doing it wrong. About one in ten people respond poorly to a given drug, for biological reasons.
Check the basics first: the dose may still be too low, the pharmacy product may not be what it claims, other medications may be working against you, and sleep apnea, alcohol, or an underactive thyroid may be in the way. Some people who do not respond to one drug respond to another. For years we told people to eat less and move more and blamed them when biology won. That was unkind and it was wrong.
