Question 96 of 433
Can I exercise too much?

The short answer
It is possible, but it is not the problem most people have.
Lifelong extreme endurance athletes have somewhat more atrial fibrillation and more calcium in their arteries, though they still tend to live longer than average. For everyone else, the risk is in doing too much too soon and getting injured. An injury that stops you for three months costs more than any single workout gains. Be patient.
