Question 229 of 433
Is Galleri approved, and what does it cost?

The short answer
As of October 2026 it is not FDA approved, though a decision is expected soon. It costs about $950 and is rarely covered by insurance.
The company applied for approval in early 2026. In September 2026 an FDA advisory panel voted in its favor on safety and, by narrower margins, on overall benefit and effectiveness. The agency’s decision is pending. Until then the test is offered legally through a certified laboratory with a doctor’s order.
