Question 6 of 433
What is the maximum human lifespan? Can I live to 120?

The short answer
The oldest verified person lived to 122. Living to 120 is not a realistic plan for anyone alive today. Living to 90 in good shape is.
I am suspicious of anyone who promises 120, or “longevity escape velocity,” or immortality. Nothing we currently have has been shown to extend maximum human lifespan by a single day. What we do have are tools that make it much more likely you will reach your late eighties or nineties with your mind and your legs intact. That is not a consolation prize. That is the prize.
